There are three phases to the creation of your website. You can be as involved as you want to be throughout the process. It's my job to make your vision a reality. If parts of this do not make sense to you, please don't hesitate to ask!

Choose a level that works for YOU -
Level 1 (Basic):
- If you're interested in just testing the water for the first year, you could piggy back off my site for a reasonable fee. This is the least costly option. This is available for ONLY sites I create and maintain.
Level 2 (Intermediate):
- For $25/year, I will secure your domain name and keep it registered for you. You can do this yourself if you're tech-savy or just very patient. You will still have to arrange billing for space through a separate company.
Level 3 (Complete):
-
For a reasonable fee for the year, I will do all of the above for you so you do not have to contact any other company. The only bills you'll see will come from me, not the other company. This saves you the hassle of talking techno mumbo jumbo with strangers or receiving bills that you do not understand. The price is flexible since it wouldn't be fair to you to charge a flat rate for all sites.
$75 for the first page and $50 each additional page.
Usually, pages are split into different topics (such as, "home", "about us", "our services", "links"). Technically, you can have as much information as you like on a page, but as a rule I try not to put more than 5-7 images on most pages ('photo album' pages have more). This helps to keep the download time short. The same concept applies to text - most people don't want to read a great amount of text, nor will they scroll down very far. There are several features I can add to your page. Are you looking for custom graphics? Unique fonts? Pop Up Menus? Do you have a special request? Let's talk about what you need! Here are a few examples of what I can do.
Non-Profit Organizations = 50% off
Over 10 pages = Call or email for a discounted rate
Do you just need to advertise something? Provide quick information? Do you NOT want an entire site, but rather one page? I will make you a one page site for a very reasonable fee. For example, this winter I sold my snowmobile on Ebay. I wanted to show my viewers more photos of the sled, without spending extra money listing photos on ebay. Last summer we sold our home the same way. I was able to create a nice web photo album for our visitors to enjoy. -- This service will be quoted per project as this type of design/service allows you to go in so many ways!
As your needs change, the site can change. If you need new pages made, whatever the current rate is at that time applies. If you just need adjustments made to already created pages the following applies:
- Hourly Rate: $25.00---For updates, maintenance, modifications, picture changes, etc...15 minute minimum per update/billed in 15 minute increments. Updates will be completed within 7 days, usually sooner
- If I maintain your site, I will submit your site 4 times a year (free of charge) to the free search engines to keep your listing as current as possible.
- Adding/Exchanging Links--FREE. Just Email Me the link.
- Minor Changes such as indicating if a product is sold or out of stock--FREE.
- Banners and Logos= 15 dollars per banner/logo
- Photo manipulation = 5 dollars per photo
PAYMENT INFORMATION:
- 50% down payment to start building the site.
- I will try to have your site complete within 2-3 weeks.
- I accept personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks and even Paypal.
WHAT I WON'T DO:
I am not interesting in creating online stores. They're very time consuming and end up being very costly. Because this is something I enjoy doing in my free time, setting up a store would serious impact my ability to manage my time. I do not do "flash" or a lot of javascript. I might find a few scripts for you to use, but for the most part I would dissuade you from using it. Using Flash and Java slows sites down and many computers are not java enabled. In both cases, your visitors are left frustrated and will probably click the back button and go somewhere else.
NOTES:
Because I teach during the day, I'm hard to get a hold of by phone. You're better off emailing me as I sometimes check emails over lunch. I am more accessible during the summer.
