New Mom is getting out of snowmobiling!
You are bidding on a 1995 Skidoo Formula SL. I bought this sled four years ago and I’ve only ridden it a handful of times. I bought it from a lady that was a casual rider. I bought it when I was into snowmobiling. Shortly thereafter I got married and had a baby. I have barely ridden it the 4 years I’ve had it. I think I put 100 miles on two years ago…and none last year. I was too pregnant and busy.
Here’s what you’re getting:
- 1995 Skidoo Formula SL 500 fan cooled – 3598 miles on it. I like this sled because I can maneuver it by myself. I can pick up the back and turn it, if need be. It’s plenty fast and handles nicely. It is not studded. It has hand and thumb warmers, safety shut off strap, e-brake, primer, oil light, fuel gauge, tach, odometer, and speedometer. The only thing that needs attention is the battery. Once the sled is running, it’s fine. I never minded because I just pull started the sled every time anyway. Each fall I lubed up the sled and had a friend check it over. It’s never been in a crash. There are no scraps or cracks. Yesterday I started the sled with about 10 pulls which is good since I hadn't started it since Feb.
- Skidoo cover: It’s actually in poor shape. It’s faded and has patchwork, but it keeps the snow off and doesn’t fly off…so to me it serves its purpose. When I took new pictures, I realized that there is no patchwork, but that a buckle is broken. I've never noticed, nor does it present much of an issue.
- HJC Gloves – Large
- HJC Helmet – Adult (there is a scuff on the shield, although it’s never impacted my ability to see – ask for a picture)
- Ladies Skidoo turtle neck – XLarge
- ½ jug of Yamalube (I’m really cleaning out here!)
- a set of sled dollies (a must have!)
- Loadmaster 2 place steel snowmobile trailer: I bought this 2 years ago to haul the sled and the only time I actually hauled the sled was when we moved! It has a 1 ½ inch hitch. The wiring works fine. The wood is in nice shape, minus some marks where the studs scraped (the previous owner studded her sled). There is some rust and peeled paint (see pictures), but the trailer will suit your needs without costing a lot. I think I have 4 tie downs (2 for sure). The tongue appears to be bent a little, but that’s never bothered me. I would say I’ve hooked the trailer on to my truck 15 times and I’ve never noticed it being a problem.
- Whatever else related I can find that I don’t want! I do not know how old the trailer is.
At this time, I cannot find the title for the sled. I’ve already sent in for a replacement title. The actual title will probably show up the same day the replacement arrives in the mail – you know how that goes. I realize now that sleds don't have titles, hence why I couldn't find mine. Nevermind this paragraph!
With having a baby, I unfortunately cannot deliver the sled. I’m just way too busy – hence the reason why I’m selling the sled. If there’s a time when we can meet, I would…but I’m returning to work in a few weeks.
If you want to come look at the sled, let me know. I’m about 15 min. from Green Bay, WI. Also, if you’d like me to take specific pictures, I’d be happy to do that too.
I will take certified bank cashier’s check, money order, or pay pal. I will not take a personal check!
